Warming blood products before administration serves multiple purposes, one of which is to minimize the risk of coagulopathies. Preventing alkalosis, reducing hypokalemia, and decreasing hypernatremia do not reflect the immediate concerns associated with infusing cold blood products and their direct impact on hemostatic function.
